Hawaii
This was a bit of a surprise trip. My sister Bethany and her SO planned this as the 1st post-vaccination travel and invited us to join… so we did!
Hawaii was so beautiful. We started the trip on Maui, where the highlight was the Road to Hana with plenty of views and hiking stops along the way.
We ended our trip with a brief stay at the Aulani Disney Resort on Oahu.

On Star Wars and Minimalism
So I decided to give away most of my Star Wars books. Savannah and I were watching Marie Condo’s (Author of “Tidying Up”) new Netflix series and were inspired to go through our entire library of books and only keep our favorites. I decided that I’m going focus on collecting reference guides, behind the scenes books, and art books. Frankly it was pretty freeing - and a lot of fun mailing out a lot of Star Wars books to my friends.
Spring Garden
I just finished planting a mini potted veggie garden on the back walkway of our apartments.
Star Wars Celebration News
StarWars.com announced that Star Wars Celebration 2022 will be returning to Anaheim earlier than expected. The event, which was scheduled for August 18-21, 2022, will now avoid the D23 Expo by moving to May 26-29, 2022. This places the greatest trial of my marriage for it is my beautiful wife Savannah’s birthday. Negotiations have begun… I’ll keep you updated.
A few thoughts:
Not only does this avoid D23 but it shows a level of confidence in the pandemic trends and CA policy for conventions
I’ve missed Cons, really. I’ve missed being around so many Star Wars fans in the same place at the same time. SWC has an energy and kindness of everyone around. Not to be too sappy, but it’s a wonderful feeling being around friends who’ve become like family all celebrating the Wars together
Also, a little sleuthing on the comments on the SWC ‘gram make me confident that they will still release a block of tickets
